Whether it's a slow drip you've been ignoring or a section of shingles the wind just took, Roof Repair Smedway sends licensed Roofing technicians throughout Maynard, IA to look at it properly, not guess over the phone.
Roof Repair Smedway grew out of Maynard, IA job sites, not a corporate rollout plan — that's still how we staff every Roofing crew we send to Maynard.
Every lead technician we send to a Maynard property carries current Maynard, IA licensing and full insurance, and we'll produce that paperwork before you ask twice.
Every Roofing job, from a single flashing repair to a full Maynard tear-off, gets built to the same standard: the one that holds up, not the one that's fastest to invoice.
Every lead installer carries current Maynard, IA credentials.
A midnight call gets the same urgency as a noon call.
You approve a number before the crew touches your roof.
We already know Maynard's weather patterns and permit process.
Catching a roof problem at the "annoying" stage is almost always cheaper than catching it at the "emergency" stage.
Homeowners in Maynard often mention they'd noticed something off months before calling — a stain that seemed to fade, a shingle that looked slightly out of place after a storm.
Shingles shed their protective granules as they wear down, and a gutter full of grit is an early tell.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
A gap that lets light through will let rain through eventually.
A spreading brown ring on a ceiling almost always means water is tracking in from somewhere on the roof.
An unexplained bill increase is worth checking against your roof's condition.
Even a small missing section can let in enough water to rot decking in a single storm.
Whatever the issue — emergency, routine, or somewhere in between — it gets handled by a crew that specializes in that exact type of work.
Below is the full breakdown of what we cover in Maynard, so you can see roughly where your situation fits before you even call.
Downed branches, torn flashing, and wind-lifted shingles all fall under our emergency response scope.
Our residential scope covers shingle repair, full reroofs, ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing fixes.
Commercial roofs run different membrane systems entirely, and our crews are trained specifically on TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen.
We'll tell you honestly whether your roof needs a full replacement or just a targeted repair — we don't default to the bigger invoice.
Scheduled maintenance catches loose flashing and clogged valleys before the next storm turns them urgent.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general repair crews often miss.
Homeowners tell us the not-knowing is often worse than the repair itself, so we try to remove as much guesswork from the process as we can.
A dispatcher logs your address, roof type, and the problem, then schedules based on urgency.
The inspection covers decking, flashing, and ventilation, not just the obvious visible damage.
Financing and insurance-claim questions are addressed at this stage.
Warranty paperwork is handed over the same day the job wraps.
If you've been burned by a roofing company before, these are the specific things we do differently, not just a promise that we're "better."
We give you an honest arrival window instead of a vague "sometime this week."
Every estimate is itemized so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Our installers follow manufacturer spec on every underlayment overlap and fastener pattern, not general guesswork.
We'd rather send a crew back for a small fix than leave a homeowner unsure.
We're not your insurance company, but we make that part of the process easier.
If a repair solves the problem, that's what we recommend — we don't push a replacement to inflate the invoice.
Our guarantee covers our labor specifically: if the completed work doesn't match the agreed scope, we correct it at no extra cost.
If something unexpected turns up mid-job, like hidden decking damage, we flag it and get your approval before it changes your bill.
We'd rather explain a guarantee in plain language upfront than have a homeowner discover the fine print later.
If your address sits just past our standard Maynard radius, dispatch can usually still work something out.
Because our crews already know Maynard's layout, we rarely lose time to a wrong-turn delay that out-of-area companies deal with constantly.
We'd rather confirm coverage on a quick call than have a homeowner assume they're out of range and skip calling entirely.
